Privacy Policy
Last updated: [Month 2026]. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to get it deleted.
1. Who we are
JM Logistics ("JM", "we") is a China-based logistics company providing warehousing, consolidation and international freight services. For data protection purposes the data controller is JM Logistics Co., Ltd. (惠州市捷恩物流有限公司), registered in China with Unified Social Credit Code 91441381MA56UMN1X7, located at Unit 19F, Bldg 2, Zhengji Technology Park, 88 Tianyi Rd, Qiuchang Sub-district, Huiyang District, Huizhou, Guangdong, China.
For enquiries about this policy or your data: jolinmor@outlook.com.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiry form: name, company, email, phone or WhatsApp, destination country, service type, quantity, deadline, and the details you write in the message field.
- Tracking form: tracking or reference number, and the email used for the booking.
- Email correspondence: your messages and the attachments you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: IP address, browser type, device, and pages visited. Used for security and to understand which pages are useful.
- Analytics: if analytics is enabled, aggregated page-view and referrer data.
3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Responding to your enquiry and preparing a quote | Performance of a contract at your request / steps prior to entering a contract |
| Managing an active shipment (warehouse records, customs documents, delivery) | Performance of a contract |
| Retaining enquiry records in case you return | Legitimate interest — responding to a genuine business enquiry |
| Website security and abuse prevention | Legitimate interest |
| Aggregate analytics to improve the site | Legitimate interest, using aggregated data only |
| Marketing emails, if you opt in | Your explicit consent, withdrawable at any time |
4. Who we share it with
We share only what is necessary to move your goods, and only with parties we have checked:
- Carriers and freight partners — to execute the shipment you booked.
- Customs authorities and agents — where required for clearance.
- Your suppliers — only if and when you ask us to contact them on your behalf. We do not pass your contact details to suppliers otherwise.
- Payment providers — to process invoices you have approved.
- Professional advisers or authorities — where we are legally required to disclose.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it for marketing purposes with third parties.
5. International transfers
We are based in China and much of our operational data is processed there. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Shipment data is inherently cross-border — it travels with the goods and is disclosed to carriers and customs authorities in each transit and destination country.
6. How long we keep it
| Record type | Retention |
|---|---|
| Enquiries that do not become orders | 24 months from last contact |
| Client and shipment records | 7 years from last transaction (accounting and tax requirements) |
| Warehouse goods photos | 12 months after delivery |
| Server logs | 90 days |
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access — ask what personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (we may need to keep records required for tax or customs purposes).
- Restriction or objection — limit how we use your data, or object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — for any processing based on consent, including marketing emails.
- Complain — to your local supervisory authority. In the EU, the authority for China-related processing is typically the one where you live.
To exercise any of these, email jolinmor@outlook.com. We respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies
This site uses two categories of cookies.
Essential (always on). These are required for the site to function — for example, remembering your cookie choice and keeping the enquiry form working. They cannot be switched off because the site would not work correctly without them. No personal data is sent to advertising networks.
Analytics (only with your consent). If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage statistics — which pages are visited, where visitors come from, and general device information. We have enabled IP anonymisation, so your full IP address is not stored. Analytics data is not used for advertising and is not shared with advertising networks.
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics. If you decline — or do not choose — no analytics script is loaded and no analytics data is collected. Your choice is stored locally in your own browser for 12 months and can be changed at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page.
Do Not Track. Because we load analytics only after explicit consent, we honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track signals. If your browser sends either signal, analytics will not be loaded regardless of your earlier choice.
9. Security
Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to client data is limited to staff who need it to do their job. We do not retain payment card numbers.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data and creates a legally notifiable risk, we will tell you and the relevant authority within the statutory deadline.
10. Changes and contact
We will update this policy when our practices change and will revise the date at the top. Material changes affecting your rights will be notified by email to active clients.
